  The Right to Life

       Dr. Mohamdain Abdulkader    Life stands as one of the most profound blessings bestowed
         Naif Arab University for  upon humanity by Allah. It is through His divine grace that
              Security Sciences    humans have been granted the gift of life, and in His wisdom,
                                   He has also provided guidance on its preservation. In exceptional
42                                 circumstances, Allah has permitted certain actions that would
                                   otherwise be deemed impermissible.. As an illustration, it is
                                   worth noting that Islamic Sharia law permits eating the dead to
                                   preserve one›s own life. This highlights the significance placed
                                   on safeguarding the right to life within the framework of Islamic
                                   jurisprudence. Furthermore, it is important to acknowledge
                                   that various international and regional conventions uphold the
                                   fundamental right to life.The right to life is the foundation of
                                   all human rights. It precedes all other rights and serves as the
                                   fundamental premise upon which all other rights are based. This
                                   makes it the right that encompasses and provides the foundational
                                   support for all other rights. Without the preservation, guarantee,
                                   and protection of this fundamental right, the essence and
                                   significance of political, social, and cultural rights and freedoms
                                   cease to exist.Therefore, the right to life stands as a fundamental
                                   entitlement bestowed upon every individual..
                                   This right has been enshrined in international instruments such
                                   as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), as well as
                                   the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and its
                                   Second Optional Protocol. All international agreements emphasize
                                   the necessity of protecting the right to life as a fundamental right
                                   for individuals, communities, and humanity as a whole.
                                   Article (3) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that
                                   «Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and the security of person».
                                   Article (6) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political
